Pumpernickel twists start with a base made of almond flour, Mozzarella and cream cheese, plus a dash of molasses and cocoa powder. The dark dough is kneaded by hand before it is divided and rolled into pieces to form the braids and the pretzels. You can add sesame seeds or kosher salt to the top before baking. Pumpernickel breads have a distinct flavor and can be served with your favorite fruit for taste balance.
